Azusa Pacific University nursing students Jessica DeLaby and April Fibrow are presenting a free series of classes on hypertension.
Classes will be held on Wednesdays from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Lucerne Valley Senior Center. The series concludes with a health fair on Nov. 15, which will include local firefighters and a nutrition expert from St. Mary’s Hospital.
“It’s all free,” said DeLaby. “It’s open to anyone of any age, not only seniors.”
The following is the class schedule:
• Oct. 8 - Introduction to Hypertension/Screening
• Oct. 15 - Nutrition Part 1
• Oct. 22 - Nutrition Part 2
• Oct. 29 - Exercise
• Nov. 5 - Medication
• Nov. 15 - Health Fair
